A cosmetic preoperative mockup is a sneak preview of your finished, reconstructed smile. Composite tooth-colored material is sculpted and fine-tuned to create your ultimate smile design. It is simple to make subtle alterations in this material to your satisfaction, and you can even wear it home to share your new smile design with family members if you so desire. Once you are satisfied with the design, the preparation appointment is scheduled and can be performed that same day. The laboratory receives the carefully trimmed design to recreate the porcelain veneers or crowns for the ultimate lasting smile.

At Laurel Morello, DDS we let you try something on to see if it’s what you were envisioning. After Invisalign treatment, this patient preferred to have lighter teeth and the sharpness of his canines rounded, but wasn’t sure if that was what he envisioned. Tooth colored material is placed on the right side canine with the left one untouched so he can see the difference between the two.
